As a chartered building surveyor , Philip Smith provides professional services for property and construction.

Key areas of expertise lie in party wall & neighbour issues, historic buildings and sustainability.

In addition to surveys and valuations,  Philip has a thorough understanding of modern languages and have the ability to provide property and construction services and localisation in a range of languages.

As a fully qualified teacher, he has an interest in helping others to develop their careers to reach their full potential and offer a range of CPD presentations, largely for in-house training.

He takes pride in fostering strong, client relationships through a direct, personable approach with clients. In particular, he believes in integrity and openness with all parties which engenders a sense of trust and confidence.

Philip regularly helps me with the completion of party wall and licence to alter agreements, as well as providing site boundary and valuation advice. I have been working with Philip for over 10 years now, and continue to do so because of his knowledge, experience, responsiveness and discretion. - Unique 'After Sales' (post-report) support with up to 20 minutes free consultancy per report.
- Concessionary rates for first-time buyers and for low income customers.

- Operations management with low carbon footprint, i.e. use of lowest impact transport mode, minimising material waste. Electrical or hybrid vehicles are normally used where public transport is not a practical means of transport.

- Academy development with training opportunities for young people from all backgrounds, including work with the local YMCA.

- Promotion of sustainable building practice, promotion and use of sustainable materials and low impact construction methodology with minimal carbon impact through active projects and consultancy work.

- Bespoke consultancy work which specifically relates to sustainability as well as building conservation, where heritage value is an asset.

- Philip is always interested in building relationships with other businesses with similar ethical and environmental benchmarks.

Clocktower Surveys is a subsidiary of PS Surveys which is registered member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and we are therefore regulated by  the RICS also.
